Career Problems Q&A

What are career problems?

Career problems span a wide range of issues. At the Midwest Center for Transformational Change, Anne helps with all types of career challenges, such as:

  • Executive coaching
  • Leadership coaching
  • Challenges with authority figures
  • Difficulty meeting goals
  • Difficulty with concentration
  • Relationship challenges with co-workers
  • Career setbacks
  • Getting fired
  • Career dissatisfaction
  • Lack of motivation
  • Lack of assertiveness
  • Lack of career direction
  • Identifying a new career path
  • Support in seeking advanced training or education

Often more than one factor contributes to your career challenges, one problem building on another. For example, if you’re lacking direction or specific goals in your career, it might be hard to feel motivated about what you’re doing right now.

At the Midwest Center for Transformational Change PLC, Anne can help with any and all career challenges. She helps you develop the tools you need to take control of your situation and transform your life into the one you want.

When do I need help with career problems?

Short answer? Whenever you decide you do.

Some career problems are temporary and resolve quickly. Some might hardly consider those to be problems, but if you feel the need for support, you deserve to get it. Other challenges take some time, and perhaps we try several things that don’t work so well before we resolve the situation. Those we usually call learning experiences, and everyone’s career has them from time to time.

When job or career issues drag you down for an extended period, whether it’s months or years, it’s time to find some support. And if your career issues are negatively impacting other parts of your life, that's a signal that it's time to reach out.

What does counseling for career problems include?

At the Midwest Center for Transformational Change, Anne uses a combination of robust, evidence based approaches: Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy (Satir Model), Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR®).

These evidence-based, effective therapies help you to expand your tools for responding to career related challenges. They help you recognize problems with the way you respond to challenges. You learn how to increase positivity, release negativity, process difficult memories that hold you back, and make your desired career a reality.
